I’m in Alaska, on the first annual Alaskan Seafood Culinary
Retreat, and Internet access is a bit limited. While I’m tasting salmon, crab,
scallops, and other great seafood offerings of the forty-ninth state, I’ll
leave you with two facts that I recently learned.
1) Alaska has 34,000 miles of coastline, which is more than
the entire Lower 48.
2) Alaska is so big that if you laid it out on top of the
Continental U.S., it would stretch from San Francisco to Florida. If you don’t
believe me, I have a great image I'll post as soon as the bear that is strangling my internet access decides to take a nap.
As soon as return to normal Internet access I’ll have more
details about my trip, but that might not be for a few days. It took me one
whole day to get here and it will take me a whole day to return. I hope to be
back online later in the week.
